Edge Computing World and Topio Networks announced the winners of its annual Edge Awards, recognizing excellence in hardware, software, platforms and applications for edge computing. The awards were presented at a ceremony held on October 11th during Edge Computing World in Santa Clara, California.
The Edge Startup of the Year award recognizes startups with between $3 million and $15 million in funding and more than 20 employees. This honor was given to CruxOCM for its cutting-edge deployment of edge computing in oil and gas control rooms to automate operations and enhance sustainability.
Meanwhile, the Edge Innovator of the Year award recognizes companies with funding up to $3 million and less than 20 employees. dRISK won in this category as the company uses edge computing to test and train autonomous vehicles, helping to ensure their safety in today’s fast-paced world.
The award for Rising Star of the Year went to Precision AI. This company leverages edge computing to create precision spray drone systems. These systems use advanced AI techniques to increase crop yields, reduce inefficiency and minimize overspray.
